Does Western Governors University Prepare You Well for the CPA Exam?

 

As someone who just graduated with a BA in Accounting from Western Governors University, I feel somewhat uniquely qualified to answer this question. The WGU Accounting Bachelors Program has a certain number of classes that are focused around the field of Accounting, all of which will instill the knowledge and thinking required to give you a decent boost when passing the CPA Exam. These include the following:

And some other classes that I can’t even remember right now. I’ll be making a guide in the future for how best to complete every single class, and how to do it quickly. I had about 30 to 35 hours per week to dedicate to each course, which is why I was able to do it so fast. Every study strategy in the world isn’t going to do anything for you if you don’t have TIME to dedicate to studying. At the very least, my best advice would be to study at least something every single day to take advantage of compounding improvement, more nights of sleep leading to faster learning, and more.
